Do you know Christ?

Dearest All,

Well we're in the final few days before the great Feast and I am buried under a bunch of services and sermons that need my attention.

It's not a complaint.

I love Easter: I love leading worship; I love preaching and administering our sacraments; I love being with you guys, in the presence of the One who is always the answer to the secret longings of all of our hearts.

It's just that, ocasionally, when I am struggling to put the Mystery into words, the theologian in me feels like an awful fraud.

When that happens I am grateful. It remings me that, under the vestments and behind the role, I am a child, in need of the love and mercy of my Saviour.

He's a Saviour who encourages me to live from that inner-child as a default:  And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 18:2-4).

So here goes... what I am really looking forward to is the chocolate!

I came across this little clip during the week and it made me think that as well as becoming like a child I should also become like a grandmother...

God bless you all.
